Craftybase provides me with everything I need and is really easy!
My overall experience with Craftybase has been great. The learning curve for the system was very fast and it was very easy to figure out how I should set up my recipes, products, and manufactures.
- Craftybase is able to keep accounts of my purchase orders, inventory and manufactures
- It is also very flexible in allowing me to make manual adjustments when needed
- I can always count on craftybase to keep records of my ongoing product costs and inventory counts
- I would like to be able to create Purchase Orders to send to vendors directly from inside of Craftybase
- It would allow my order emails to be more standardized
Switched From
The system was based in Wordpress and did not work well. Also, we switched to Shopify.
Why they chose it
"Craftybase integrates well with many platforms"

A dream come true for our business
I am so please with the customer service, the help bot, and the interface of the app. The business of manufacturing of products is new to me the past two years. Prior to that the businesses I have run have all been service based. To have a program like Craftybase allows me to capture all of the data I need for our certifications and government compliance in Australia. Plus, all of the data for our accountant at tax time. I am better able to run the business knowing my profit per product made and love that it allows me to add in my cost of time.
- I have been searching for ways to organise my business
- We make soap and skin care products, so I have many manufacturing recipes, suppliers, and costs to account for
- Craftybase was a dream come true
- I had about 50 scraps of paper with notes and was manually calculating my cogs at the base of my recipes
- Now, everything is in Craftybase and when I manufacture a product, it updates my inventory as well
- I am learning the interface between Shopify and Craftybase
- I am hoping I can learn how to have Craftybase update my inventory in Shopify when I manufacture a new product
- It maybe I haven't found it yet
- I've only been working in Craftybase a week, but already the improvement to my business is immeasurable
Why they chose it
"The fit with our manufacturing line. It has an easy interface and Craftybase has thought of everything! From recipes, cogs, suppliers, inventory management. All in one app."

A must-have for handmade businesses!
It integrates seamlessly with Etsy, the platform I sell on. I use it every single day and could not function without it.
- It still is invaluable for keeping track of my materials, products, orders, and formulas, and basic financial reports
- If you have a handmade business and need to keep track of a million moving parts, you need Craftybase
- Cost has gone up quite a bit and subscription level is based on how many items you sell, but I really do think the value it brings to my business justifies the expense
- I support the [sensitive content hidden] doing whatever they need to keep the site afloat, and they do seem to be actively improving the functionality of the software to justify the added expense

Better Options Out There?
I may go to the trouble of migrating to a different inventory management software. Talking to Inventora right now about the ease of this. Having materials automatically deduct when I sell a product is very basic functionality that I should not have to pay $1,000 / year to have.
- Loved being able to create recipes from materials to identify exact costs for each product I sell
- Loved being able to update a material cost and have it manifest in all the product recipes automatically to have an accurate cost of goods for each product
- It is an obvious "money grab" for them to block the "auto-manufacture" feature to force you to upgrade to a much more expensive plan
- After all the work of entering your materials inventory and product recipes, when you sell a product the software will NOT automatically deduct the materials from your inventory UNLESS you pay for a more expensive plan
- As soon as you go back to a less costly plan, they block this very basic feature
- This very basic feature - deducting materials when a product sells so you can properly manage your materials inventory - should be included in the Studio Plan but they force you to upgrade to the 2x as expensive Indie Plan
Why they chose it
"At the time, CB allowed multiple site integration. But now Inventora also does."

Exactly what I was looking for in an inventory management software!
Overall, Craftybase is exactly what I was looking for when I was wanting to track my inventory and products, and I love that I can set different levels of pricing and see what my profit margin is.
- I love Craftybase because it is so easy to get started
- They offer a 2-week free trial, which is basically the amount of time it took to get most of my materials and products entered
- It integrates with many other software programs so it is that much easier to keep track of inventory
- The pricing is reasonable, and if you can't find your answer in their chat bot, an email will get you a friendly person responding to you within 2 business days usually
- They have made some updates on the look of the site, which was much needed, and they are very open to hearing your suggestions on how to make the program work better for you
- I have not had many problems with the program, and the few that I have had were handled very well by the customer service department
There are a few things that I would like to have as options on the site, but they are very minor (such as: drop-downs for categories, etc) It would also be nice to have the price charged in CAD, but again, a minor thing
Why they chose it
"Pricing, integrations, ease of use, and it was exactly what I was looking for in an inventory software program, where the other ones were missing some elements that I wanted/needed."

Craftybase saves me lots of time to manage my jewelry business
I had been using Craftybase for more than 8 years. It was very easy to learn in the beginning and to make the transition from excel to their platform. Using Craftybase is really worth the money paid, it has saved me a lot of time to managing my inventory, generating quotes for custom products, and reordering materials for big orders. So I can invest more time in the creative part of my business thanks to Craftybase!. I know my info is secure with Craftybase and that I’m in good hands.
- What I like the most about Craftybase are three things: their staff and costumer service, their friendly environment, and how everything is connected in the design of their platform
- I had found answers to all of my questions along the way and whenever I needed to resolve bugs and issues their staff where very happy and quickly to help
The only thing I like least about Craftybase is that their basic subscription had less and less basic features with the time

Because it was so much time consuming and very manual

Small Maker Business in the Real World
I finally have a program that I don't dread doing my paperwork and helps at tax time with the reports
- As a small maker business, this is easy to use and set up
- I love the manual and prompts for inventory
- I tried other programs that cost monthly and this is easier and overall cost is scalable
- Set up was from the beginning
- My spreadsheets and other programs didn't translate well
- If I use scraps or left overs there is no tracking

Best inventory bookeeping software
Very good inventory product and couldn't keep things straight without it. The cost for this is so much better than other software programs.
- The cost and adaptability after switching from quickbooks
- Very helpful customer service to help me make this eork for my needs
Needs to smooth somethings about entering repeat info but it is a work in progress and customer service works with you for what ever you need help with
Switched From
They discontinued support for the product i was using
Why they chose it

Very useful for my business
Arts and Crafts
Great for Tracking orders, manufacturers and cost of goods sold and inventory of products snd materials
- Order line limitations
- Having a large variety of products means my order lines rack up each month even without a large amount of orders and if i go over the cost is an extreme jump
- No other programs has this limitation and it makes me want to switch
Why they chose it
"Inventora - not listed....Already set up with Craftybase and some of the manufacturing worked more seamlessly, however if i had started with inventora i likely would have adapted"

Great tool for figuring out handmade product costs!
Overall I would highly recommend Craftybase to handmade businesses. Once you get the hang of things and learn how it all works, it becomes easier and a great tool for properly figuring out costs etc.
- Craftybase helps me VERY easily figure out costs of the products I create
- There is really nothing else like it out there
- There are occasional glitches or delays in the system updating something I have input
- I have to refresh a bunch till I see that it's in there
Switched From
Craftybase has more automated features and works well for what I need.
