Eventbrite - a bright future
Overall, it’s a handy app when feeling bored and want to look out for some free events happening in the city. A few things that would elevate the experience of using the application is linking other websites or sources for more options among the filters. For example, linking with geekswhodrink website and getting all trivia options in once place.
- One thing I like the most about it is the explore options of things happening around in the weekend
- You can choose among a variety of things whether it be a hike, a comedy show, food markets or artisan markets
- The least I like nowadays is the constant error of “Something went wrong” after spending around 5 mins in the application
- I have to kill the app and by then I would have lost all my search and filtered history of events
- If they fix this technical issue in their iOS app, it would be a smooth experience for users

Good functionality but fees were just too high
Overall, the ease of use and promotional capabilities were good but the ever-increasing fees led us to go with another platform.
- It is pretty much the standard
- It's easy to set up a series of events (collections) and you can have different ticket types
- People can "follow" you so they get an update when you create new event
- They promote your event with similar ones across the site
- The few times I had to contact customer service went well
- It's easy to email all registrants
- There are two main drawbacks
- One, the site is so complicated that you can fall down a rabbit hole just trying to change one detail
- Two, while you get a lot, the fees are very high and they keep going up
- Either your guests cover them or you have to
- We ultimately went with another platform, Zeffy, where fees are optional
- Another lesser issue is the Organizer app doesn't have much functionality beyond checking people in
- You can't make changes like event banners or description
Switched From
We were no longer selling the volume of tickets we had, so we didn't need the even fancier systems.

Can't Afford to Use Anymore
We have had to switch to a different ticket processor, because we can no longer afford to use Eventbrite. Eventbrite has a lot of great tools, but proved to be too expensive for our small nonprofit.
Easy to use, a lot of great built-in tools to make it easy to issue / refund tickets or anything in between
- Eventbrite is too expensive now
- They switched to a new payment system on top of the standard fees and as a small nonprofit we can no longer afford to use Eventbrite
Why they chose it
"Ease of use and familiarity with the brand"

Great for straightforward events
Eventbrite is great for straightforward events, where you are unlikely to need any support from the team. When organising more complicated events, i think other platforms perform better.
- Eventbrite is very straightforward to use and the user experience is easy
- Fees are reasonable, so you get good value for money and it's a well known platform too
- Plus there are many customisable options to ensure you get the data you need from attendees
When using eventbrite I ran into a few accounting issues and resolving them was really tricky due to a lack of customer support
Why they chose it
"I switched away from Eventbrite to the other products due to having higher complex needs."

Easy to use, competitive platform pricewise
It has been good to have an alternative to ticketmaster, since I found eventbrite after, familiar enough and easy to use.
- Provided me with more competitive prices than Ticketmaster or other sites I used to compare
- Interface seemed familiar and easy to use
Seat map could take some time to load and it's not smooth enough when transitioning from a selected seat to another area with different value or price
Switched From
Competitive prices and the opportunity to access similar events/products.

Comprehensive Data
I enjoyed using it for the events we had at the time. They were small enough that it was easy to manage through eventbrite. We were able to have different pricing on our tickets. I like the sales data provide. We were able to see where customers lived gender age and when peak time.for ticket sales was allowing us to adjust prices for those leak times offering discounts.
- Able to sell tickets at varied prices and cross promote events on social media
- Having the option to pay for advertising to event brite customers
- All the fees day of the event ticket sales were a challenge as they don't offer a physical payment system
- We could only accept cash
Why they chose it
"At the time eventbrite was the cheapest option."

- Eventbite makes it easy for me to see what events are coming up and make payment
- I love that they send me emails on events recommendation also tailored to my needs
I will really like if they can reduce the events to ones tailored preference and also some events are more expensive on event bite

Great platform overall
Eventbrite is a great platform overall, with a few areas that could be improved. It has been an incredibly reliable platform for discovering and organizing events. As both an attendee and occasional organizer, I’ve found the interface intuitive, the ticketing process smooth, and the event discovery features very helpful.
- It’s user-friendly, especially for attendees—registering, getting reminders, and accessing tickets is very easy
- As an organizer, I appreciate the event dashboard, customizable registration forms, and automated email updates
- However, I’ve occasionally encountered delays in customer support or limitations in customizing certain aspects of event pages
- For more complex or recurring events, some features feel a bit rigid
- Still, it's a solid choice for most needs and continues to improve

Would Highly Recommend
I’ve had a great experience using event brite as a customer and a user of the app to create events and attend them.
- I love how easy it is to promote an event, whether or virtual or in person
- Event brute never gave me a hard time with creating tickets for events
- I don’t have a lot of things I can say I don’t like, but it would be nice to see it somehow more accessible to people with disabilities
- I noticed that a lot of websites doesn’t have closed captioning for people who suffer from being blind, and it’s not event brute’s fault, just a suggestion

Okay but high fees
While it was a good product to sell tickets on my website, I prefer to use Humanitix where the fees go to good causes.
Being able to sell tickets on my own website with ease as well as creating own images and copy for the event
- I don't like all of the fees even though you can pass them on to the buyer
- They seem high
- I found Humanitix where the fees go to good causes
