Powerful Financial Analytics Platform
Sage Intacct proved to be a robust financial management solution that excelled at handling complex multi-entity reporting and provided the advanced analytics our growing business needed, though the higher costs and somewhat clunky interface were trade-offs we had to accept for its powerful functionality and reliable performance.
Sage Intacct's multi-entity financial reporting and real-time dashboards provided unprecedented visibility into our company's financial performance across all divisions, while its flexible dimension structure allowed us to track profitability by project, department, and location with ease
Sage Intacct's pricing structure became quite expensive as we scaled, and the user interface felt outdated compared to modern cloud accounting platforms, requiring additional training time for our team to navigate efficiently

- What I like most about Sage Intacct is how easy it makes complex financial management
- The dimensional structure is a game changer — I can slice and filter data by program, department, or fund without creating hundreds of GL accounts
- Reports that used to take hours in Excel now take minutes, and they actually stay accurate
- The dashboards are clean and customizable, which makes it simple to share real-time numbers with leadership or the board
- Automation for things like allocations, recurring entries, and approvals saves a huge amount of time each month
- It also integrates smoothly with systems like ADP, which keeps our data consistent across platforms
- Some of the reporting is way more difficult than I think it needs to be
- I wish there were a world that I could just pick what accounts I want listed on a report and not "groups"
- Certain changes/corrections are impossible to make; you have to reverse everything and start all over

CS Professional Suite was incredibly slow, would crash frequently, and did not provide basic functionality we needed.

Automation & Efficiency in Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct gives us access to quicker, more reliable data because it integrates with our other systems and is user-friendly.
- The ability to use customized fields, dimensions, reports, etc
- makes it far superior to other accounting software
- The reporting and invoices are very complicated and difficult to update
- I can be a bit of a time waste and create some bottlenecks

Good Product / Be Weary of Implementing Company
I like the product more than our prior software, however, the implementation company we used was terrible and I feel like we are not getting the best use of the software even after spending almost double our original quote.
What we like most about Sage is the ability to automate a portion of the closing process that used to be very manual
What we like least about Sage is inability to correct invoices in AP or AR after paid and not having automated fund balancing

Why they chose it
"We were told it would work better for nonprofit but at this point we cannot generate the required restricted reports and our funds do not auto balance. I wish we had gone to Quickbooks."

Streamlined and Modernized
Great service and all the help that i needed - the experience was pleasant from sales to implementation
- It has streamlined my analytics and reporting process
- I now have dashboards and reports built for all of the information that I regularly need
- The learning curve is steep, but it is completely doable to learn
- The library of learning tools is useful

Your Go To Accounting Platform
Overall, Sage has given our team an easy to use home base for our accounting records and allows us to alter and integrate addons that streamline our process
- Sage is an integral part of our day-to-day operations
- We heavily utilize the base platform as well as its many integration capabilities - payroll, inventory, etc
I don't think I've had any defining negative moments with Sage - maybe a handful of down times, but what web based service doesn't have that

It has been great, and I would refer others, and I do not see us changing away from this platform anytime soon.

- Also, setting up users, reports, and G/Ls has been very user friendly

- It would be nice if the FA module talked with the G/L accounts, so the sub-ledger and ledger would always tie

Easy of use
While those add-ons mentioned above can get expensive, the overall performance and usability of the system makes it a solid choice for a small financial department such as us.
- Overall my experience with SAGE has been good
- What I like most is how user-friendly the system is, easy to navigate and is pretty self-explanatory, which makes the product easy to use even without a lot of training
The main downside is the cost for additional features, such as individual licensures or integrations like the BILL/Divy credit card
