A legendary solution for large teams. 10/10
We have been using Slack continuously for the past 5 years and used in recruitment, where candidate assessment and assignments are essential. Slack offered us seamless and well grouped communication at all times, from top management to field offices we had it all covered.
- The potential for team communication is unmatched
- We have previously used it for recruitment
- The seamless task assignment is unparalleled, we could manage 5 teams and deliver exceptional results in no time
- Nothing major but we have had days when for a short period of time, theor servers were down so we couldn't access some files
- But nothing major and all was fixed
Why they chose it
"For the seamless integration, implementing it is a bliss and the whole operation can be set in minutes. The integration aspects make Slack a winner."

Slack is the easy #1 pick for work communication apps!
Slack is awesome, I highly recommend it for use in both large and small companies. I used Slack while working as a client manager for a small substance abuse treatment facility. Our team was in constant communication regarding client updates or concerns, as well as team communication for coordinating logistics and coverage. Another Pro with Slack is not only can you type messages, but it also has a call feature that can be used to call a specific person or to do a group conference call. This was an extremely important and useful feature for the position and company I was at, at times when something was urgent it made a critical difference in timing to be able to call someone directly instead of sending a message they may not see right away. There are plenty of other software systems available that have mostly similar features and functionality, however I can say from first hand experience that Slack was reliable and consistent on many occasions where staff and management communication was critical in regards to client safety and navigating circumstances that absolutely could not wait. To me Slack remains as the top choice for workforce communication apps.
- Slack is so easy to use, it’s straightforward and “user friendly” even for employees/coworkers that may not be very tech savvy
- It has a lot of features and admin settings that make it great for work teams especially that you can do either direct messages with a specific person, a team/group channel for messaging a whole team at once, or can be narrowed down and set permissions for access to drill down different areas of communication within a team
- My alerts would constantly going off… but just kidding, this “con” was because of my position and company, not at all a slack issue
- It’s actually just an additional PRO for Slack because you are able to control the notifications, what sound they do or don’t make, silence all notifications, or mute certain channels and not others, and even set it to only give a notification if your name is mentioned for a comment directly to you within a team channel
- I can’t think of any real cons about Slack, it’s easy to use and performs exactly as it’s described and intended for company/group/team/individual communication

Slack had more of the necessary features our team wanted and was more secure for protecting company and more importantly client information.

Seamless connection!
Amazing experience using Slack, we can do meetings and huddles at the same time with this app we you can join via phone as well
What I like about Slack is its user-friendliness for all businesses especially online or those have remote employees
I can not think of anything I've been using this since 2015 and more meeting and clients to come for us

Makes communication a breeze
I use slack all day every day. As a supervisor of my clinic, and a main communicator from my clinic to our sister clinics, it's exceedingly helpful so we don't have to tie up our own phone lines calling the other clinics.
- I like how easy it is to send files and communicate between our 3 clinics
- I also like that you have to be signed in under your own name so there is accountability
I don't want to say there's anything I like "least" about Slack, but I would like a feature that shows that someone has "read" the message
Switched From
We made the switch because there was no accountability. Anyone could say anything and it was just labeled as what computer the person was typing on and people were able to be rude to each other by hiding behind a computer.

An Impeccable and Fruitful Tool For Communication.
Overall Slack feels modern and customizable. This tool seamlessly facilitate communication and team collaboration.
- I really like how intuitive and easy Slack is
- Creating channels and threads feels natural and it keeps our conversations organized
- Customer support has been responsible when needed
- Has a great integration with other tools for example integrate with Google Drive for document sharing and file storage
- Offer lots of flexibility and customization options
The searchability feature in Slack needs an improvement ,it's doesn't always work the way one want

Efficient Team Communication, Slight Learning Curve
Overall, Slack has been a helpful tool for communication and collaboration. It has streamlined discussions and made remote teamwork easier, though it requires some discipline to avoid information overload. We also have integrations for reporting bugs directly to the relevant teams.
- Slack makes team communication easy and organized
- I like how channels help keep topics separate, and the search function makes it simple to find past conversations
- Integrations with other tools are also very convenient
- Also, prorating payments is great
- There are tools that are still not very mature such as canvas and lists
- It would be good to see more integrations/automations added to these
- Also for small teams, the price going up
Switched From
Functionality and integrations are much better on Slack especially for tech company.
Why they chose it
"Ease of use and integrations are superior in my opinion"

Outstanding collaboration that every organisation should use to increase engagement…
An excellent collaboration platform that has increased internal staff communications and engagement and one that allows us to communication with our clients. Excellent for team IMs and quick video calls and one I would recommend any organisation to use.
- The leading instant messaging platform globally that combines chat, file sharing, video calling as a collaboration tool with hundreds of APIs with other corporate platforms
- A slick and easy to use platform that provides a huge value for money for the features it provides
- The customer support service can be very stringent
- I have required assistance with a subject access request but only the primary owner of a workspace can approve that even though I am an administrator
- I feel there should be a secondary or tertiary owner who has similar levels of access which could be an area of improvement for Slack
Why they chose it
"Enhanced features and user experience in comparison."

Easy way to engage with your team
I like the customizability of Slack with sounds, themes, and ease of adding memes and polls that enhances team engagement.
- There are lots of useful features such as pinning messages or setting reminders to come back to a message if you're not able to get to it right away
- Snooze while away and pinging everyone at the same time in the chat has all been incredibly helpful
- Memes and polls are also easily accessible
Slack would be even better if we were able to name chats so you can see name of chats in the side bar instead of a group of names to easily find the group chat you are looking for

Slack was the most used product across clients and seemed to have less buggy interface.

Connects the Dots
Slack connects all my day-day operations it’s so much less clunky than teams and more user friendly.
Ease, responsiveness and most importantly the integrations into all other technologies needed to communicate and action in one place
Slacks core functionality remains the same but hasn’t really been a lot innovation or development in recent years which I’ve found make an impact

Great for Remote Teams!
My overall experience is very positive. I find it meets or exceeds the needs of our remote team and is an effective tool for communication and sharing information.
- It is easy to use, effective and meets our needs for keeping a remote team connected at all times
- It works consistently and basically never has bugs or glitches
- I don't love the search functionality
- I would say this is the one place where Slack is not as intuitive
- I wish there was a clearer way to search for old chats or documents in specific channels or conversations
Switched From
Slack is more intuitive, user friendly, and more aligned with our specific needs.
